Ann
Andrews, is Director of Communications
at Global Rights, the international human rights
advocacy group.
Before joining Global Rights, Ms. Andrews was vice
president of external communications for United Way
of America, where she led all aspects of external
communications efforts. Andrews also has been a vice
president at Ogilvy Public Relations where she supervised
media relations efforts for a major pharmaceutical
company within Ogilvy's award-winning Health and
Medical Practice. Prior to that, Ms. Andrews was
manager of media relations for the national headquarters
of the American Red Cross. Prior to her work in the
nonprofit arena, which also included a four-year
stint in public affairs at Share Our Strength, a
leading anti-hunger agency, Ms. Andrews was a reporter
at U.S. News and World Report where she covered international
and domestic news, specializing in social issues.
Ms. Andrews joined U.S. News after having worked
for ABC News' "This Week with David Brinkley" for
five years. Ms. Andrews has a B.A. in Political Science
and English from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
