Volunteer (continued) Assist with our Adult Education in Spanish (Plaza Comunitaria) program, where Hispanic adults learn to read and write, and/or complete their unfinished studies at the elementary and high school level in their native language. Assist with our early childhood program where children participate in age-appropriate learning activities while their parent(s) attend our classes, workshops, and/or counseling sessions. Provide professional expertise in any area that will benefit our families (e.g., child developmental screenings, psychotherapy, breastfeeding, parenting, domestic violence, etc.).Help with our once a week evening parenting program. Provide clerical support by helping with filing, stuffing envelopes, sorting and organizing resource materials, answering the front desk phone calls, and data entry.
