Carolyn
Parr retired from the United
States Tax Court in April 2002 after 16 years as
a judge and
8 years as a litigator and government official with
the Treasury and Justice Departments. She cares deeply
about community service, and helped found Joseph’s
House (a residence for formerly homeless men with
AIDS) and The Servant Leadership School. She has
been honored by The National Debate for Peace in
El Salvador, The Women Judges Fund for Justice, and
Stetson University Law School which awarded her an
honorary doctorate. Ms. Parr is currently president
of Beyond Dispute Associates, whose mission is peacemaking
at every level from the family to the nations. She
is bilingual in Spanish.
