On May 9th The Family Place celebrated Children's and Mother’s Day at Carter Barron Park with the families of our community. We hosted about 100 people in a wonderful day full of great energy, group activities, food, face painting, kites, raffles, piñatas and fun children games.
Our founder Ann Barnet joined the celebration with her grandson, great-granddaughter and other board and advisory committee members.
Our staff members enjoyed the journey while making sure everything went smoothly.
We understand the importance of honoring family time. Spending time with family builds confidence for everyone in it and makes better community members. Community bulding is one of the pilars of our work. That’s why we are proud to be able to provide a safe space for our participants to enjoy themselves celebrating with those they love the most.
