50K Goal Reached!

THANK YOU for all your contributions to our End of the Year campaign! We've not only met but surpassed our year-end fundraising goal! Together, we've raised a remarkable $56,855. 🎉👏

With your support, we are committed to strengthening and amplifying the impact of our HIPPY Home Visiting Program, empowering parents like Arely and Veronica to serve as their children’s primary educators.

Don’t forget to follow us on our socials to keep track of how your donations are changing lives! 💚

Holiday parties! 🎉

In December, we celebrated our staff holiday party by bringing together our founder and some board members to Mi Rancho for a joyful occasion. We exchanged gifts and enjoyed a delightful dinner, fostering a festive atmosphere that strengthened the bonds within our team.

Additionally, our participants also enjoyed a holiday gathering at St. Stephen Church. We came together for a lovely afternoon filled with shared meals, laughter, and engaging activities, providing a wonderful opportunity for everyone to connect and celebrate the season together.

Enjoy our Holiday season memories:

Gifts and joy for more than 200 kids!

In late November 2023, as part of our Giving Tuesday campaign we collected toys to bring joy to every child in our community during the holiday season. A heartfelt thank you to all individual donors and to Carlos Rosario School and Goulson & Storrs for hosting toy drives! ✨🧸

Thanks to all of you, we were able to bring happiness to 243 children and their families.

Food distribution allies

We want to show our enormous appreciation for all of you who supported TFP’s Food Distribution in 2023! We successfully distributed 10,000 food packages, providing a diverse range of groceries that included various fruits and vegetables. Our efforts reached and served over 1,500 families.

Special gratitude to Capital Area Food Bank and Central Union Mission for all their extraordinary support!

Thank you, Congressional Sports for Charity!

We were thrilled to be part of the Congressional Baseball Hall of Fame Grants Reception once again on November 29 to receive a generous grant of $20,000. Board Chair Michael D. Barnet and CFO (Finance) Consultant Eileen Suffian represented The Family Place at this event.

Huge thanks to the Congressional Sports for Charity for their continued commitment on making an impact for low income and immigrant families in the DC area.

Happy Birthday, Dr. Ann Barnet! 🎂

It brings us joy to start the year celebrating the incredible life of our founder, Dr. Ann Barnet, on her 94th birthday (January 18) We wish the happiest of birthdays to you, Ann!

Thank you for starting this beautiful project over 40 years ago and guiding it with your vision of changing the lives of women and families in need!

While reading posts from Education Vibes, I found the topic of Study in Germany quite informative. Germany’s education system, especially its public universities and research-oriented approach, makes it an interesting option for international students. Understanding aspects like admission requirements, language expectations, and living conditions really helps students plan better. Content like this adds clarity for those considering Germany as a study destination.
